Hi I'm John Roberts

I grew up in California. I am a specialty carpenter. I'm a father to 2 fantastic children, and married to my wife of 8 years.

About Me

My biggest joy and hobbies in my life are my little girl and little boy. They both have the wonderful qualities of innocence and wonderment in life and teaching them new things or playing new games is something I cherish. My daughter seems to have an unending supply of love and caring for living things. My son is doing his best to show me what a good boy he is and is always asking to be shown how to be better. Of course they wouldn't be here without my wife. She has recently fought through a personal hardship and is realizing she is all the better for it. I cannot convey clearly enough how I love being sealed to them for all time and eternity. I want to go back to college and develop, myself further but lack the time to do the things I want to. I gain great satisfaction from fixing up my house and helping others do the same. I also love a good story. If its love, action, tragedy or even a lecture, as long as its told well, I will wrap my mind around it and enjoy it for what it is. I like to utilize my imagination and become involved in the making of stories. For this artistic expression I like to play group games involving sci-fi or fantasy. D&D or even LARPing are fun past times for me. I am currently undertaking an effort to build solar panels and start a not for profit business to make solar panels available for people who still need to have electricity but can't afford the expense of solar power.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints because I see it as the same church Christ formed when he was on the earth.

How I live my faith

I help out in my neighborhood as often as I can. I feel the phrase "when you are in service of your fellow man you are only in service of your God." I grew up learning to serve others and find happiness in helping others. I attend church regularly and get my family there as long as they aren't ill. I am honored to be the clerk for members and finances for Frankfort Indiana. It's a position unique to being able to help people.
