Hi I'm Matt Lund

I'm a drummer, an older brother, I love to play soccer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a diabetic who loves music. I love to play my drums and jam to sweet tunes. I'm a big fan of punk rock and most other similar genres. I dabble a little bit in the vocal arts as well. I'm the oldest of 9 kids!... 5 boys and 4 girls... I love to spend time with my family and my friends, especially when I can do it at the same time. I play soccer and love Real Salt Lake. I love hockey as well and love the (Boston) Bruins. I love sharing the gospel with everyone I come in contact with. I currently live in California and I love California! I love the Book of Mormon and the bible and read from them every single day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Mormon. BUT, just like anybody else, I still had to choose for myself whether or not this was for me. I had to find out if this was something I needed in my life. I was blessed with so many opportunities to read and learn about the Book of Mormon and I finally gave it a chance. With the help of some determined, extremely patient, and loving friends, I was able to develop a testimony of the Book of Mormon for myself. I do not completely understand everything in this gospel. I never will be able to fully understand. I don't know all the answers to the questions I am asked every single day, But I do know this... I know that Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God. He really did the things he said he did and it was through him, that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored, in its' fullness, here in these latter days. I know that if anybody, no matter who they are, will give the Book of Mormon a chance, they will be able to come to know for themselves of its truthfulness and it will bring them more joy than they can find anywhere else. No greater happiness can be found anywhere, than within the pages in the Book of Mormon. Don't take my word for it.. Try it for yourself!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to represent Jesus Christ to the best of my ability, at all times and in all places. As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I represent Jesus Christ every day in everything that I do. I serve those around me every chance I get. I do everything I can to invite others to come unto Christ as I have been so blessed to be able to do. I try to live by this phrase:"Bare your testimony always, sometimes use words." This gospel is, and should be, something we live in every aspect of our lives. I love it! Some of the greatest gospel discussions I have been involved in have happened while playing basketball or soccer with some friends. I love this gospel! If anyone is ever striving to find peace in mind and spirit, this is where you can find it. This gospel is an absolute necessity in everyone's life. Nothing can and ever will replace it. This gospel has blessed my life in so many ways and I want more than anything to be able to share the joy and happiness that I have felt with everybody I can.

What is being a Mormon like?

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Matt Lund
If your neighbor (who is not a police officer) tries to pull you over and write you a ticket... He can't correct? And why not? Because he does not have that authority given to him from the correct office. Same thing applies here. You must have the proper authority in order to baptize or the baptism will not be recognized on the records in Heaven. Show more Show less
