Hi I'm Kenyon

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I play the guitar, bass, and piano. I'm a full time missiony in Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music has always been a big part of my life growing up. My mom would always sing songs with my other siblings and I when we were really young. When I was really little I used to sing/shout along with Barney and Seaseme street... i was a pretty cool kid . My dad plays in a band for fun.I guess you could say its his mid-life crisis thing p When i got a little older I would go to his practices and listen to them play. When i was about 11 years old I decided that it was my turn. I picked up our guitar and never looked back. I'm now 19 years old and guitar has become a part of who I am. I've performed at various school talent shows and have even dabbled in recording and writing my own stuff. My other interests include Psychology and Sociology and people in general. My favorite movie is "The Prestige", my favorite band is Taking Back Sunday, my favorite book series is "harry potter" of course and my favorite sonic drink is without question raspberry limeade! I really like people a lot. I love my friends an awful lot. I'm usually content doing just about anything as long .as I'm doing it with some close friends. Back home I would play Magic, The Gathering with some of my buddies. good times... I went to college for a year before deciding to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am currently serving in the Texas, San Antonio mission and loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family, but whether you were born into the church or you joined later in life, everyone has a conversion story. True, the values and morals lived by those of the LDS faith were instilled in me early on in life. But I have always had my agency to act and choose for myself. As I have used that agency to obey, I have found treasures of knowledge and understanding. I have learned that there are reasons behind all that God asks me to do. There is a purpose to my life. And as I have studied, prayed, and gone to church, I have learned for myself that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves each and every one of us. I have also come to learn by the same means that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that Joseph Smith was called of God to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord to restore the full Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth once more, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I have seen with my own eyes the confusion and misinformation that is present in the current Christian world. I have seen modern Christianity used for personal gain, money, power, and to condemn. I have met people desperately wanting to find peace in their life but not knowing where to find it. I have also seen the real converting power of the restored gospel. I have seen it change lives. I have witnessed the healing power of the Christ's atonment in my own life and in the lives of others. I am a mormon because to me it all makes sense. And that the confusion and uncertainty that inflicts much of the modern christian world simply isn't found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, not because the people are perfect, but because it really is God's one true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with other people. I have been called as a full-time missionary which means I will spend these next 2 years of my life working tirelessly to bring others to experience what I have experienced for themselves. To help others know that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world and that he has restored his church to the earth today and more importantly, how that knowledge can benifit them in their lives. So if you're ever in Texas and you see two guys in suits riding around on bikes, stop us and say hello why dontcha :D
