Hi I'm Andy

I am from Utah and currently serving a mission in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, I am Andy and I am from the wonderful state of Utah. I am currently serving a mission in California to share what I know is true. I love being happy. Snowboarding, Biking, Basketball and just chillin' with my family and friends is what makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is true. I have wonderful parents who have taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they really expressed to me that I needed to gain my own testimony. I remember I was getting ready to serve a mission and filling out my paperwork when my mom told me that I should really read the Book of Mormon and pray about it before I go and share it for 2 years. I always thought that it was true and I didn't feel as if I needed to pray to know if it were true. I almost always come to find out that what my parents tell me is usually right. As I was getting closer and closer to leaving I knew I needed to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. My answer didn't come at once, but I kept praying, kept reading and applying the principles taught in this book in my life. I would feel the spirit when I read and prayed and I couldn't deny this feeling. I am a Mormon because I know that it is true by the power of prayer, and asking our loving Father in Heaven to guide me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the counsel of the Prophet and serving a mission. With my companion we Invite other to come unto Christ. We invite everyone to follow Him, and learn about his Gospel that has been restored. I live my Faith by trying my best to follow Jesus Christ!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Andy
Our church baptizes new members who join because we believe in following Jesus Christ's Example. Our Savior Jesus Christ went to John the Baptist to be baptized because he had the authority to perform that sacred ordinance. Throughout time that authority was lost. Our Heavenly Father still loves his children and wants them to be happy, so he brought that authority back on the earth through His Prophet. We invite everyone, everywhere to follow this example and be baptized by somebody holding that Priesthood Authority that Jesus Christ held. Show more Show less
