Hi I'm Rick

I'm a chiropractor - a natural healing specialist - and that fits in perfectly with my spiritual beliefs. You see, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. My wife and I have been married since 1982 and we have 4 great kids and 3 adorable grandchildren. I love spending time with my family. We are so happy with the fine people they have become, and we are satisfied that by being raised with the high standards taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they have become honest and compassionate men and women. I love the outdoors, so the beautiful waters and mountains of the Pacific Northwest are full of great places to enjoy, whether I'm kayaking in Puget Sound or hiking in the mountains. I love the natural creations of my Father on Heaven, and I enjoy photography to capture a unique perspectives of them. I love my profession as a chiropractor. A lifestyle of exercise and physical activity, eating healthy foods and getting enough rest support the regular chiropractic adjustments I receive personally and that I recommend for my patients. I care for people of all ages, from newborn babies to 99 years old. I love helping people and seeing their enjoyment of life improve as their spine and nervous system return to proper function.

Why I am a Mormon

In some ways, I'm in the best shape in my life, and it is the result of living the principles of a chiropractic lifestyle and abiding by my church's law of health known as "The Word of Wisdom". In part, we are taught to avoid harmful substances, such as tobacco, coffee and alcohol. Many people know this about Mormons. But the Word of Wisdom also suggests that we should eat fresh, healthy foods, such as all grains and "...every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving." This natural approach to living matches what I teach as a chiropractor! But more importantly than the physical benefits, I am a Mormon because of the spiritual blessings I receive. I have come to know my savior, Jesus Christ, in a real and personal way. Having scriptures such as the Bible and Book of Mormon teaches me about the life and gospel of Jesus. Having a living prophet teaches about the application of the gospel in daily living. And the spiritual feelings I get from Heavenly Father through prayer confirms the validity and truthfulness of all these things; they give a peacefulness that I am on the right path. How I live my faith

Well, I'm far from perfect. But I try to live so that my life revolves around my desire to follow Jesus. I pray and read scripture daily. I try to help others when I see a need, whether it is just holding a door open for stranger or serving an elderly neighbor. I serve in the leadership of my ward (congregation) and do what I can to help our worship services and activities go smoothly. I regularly visit members of my ward to be a friend and share a spiritual message. I am a quiet person, so I don't draw much attention to myself; I just try and be a kind person. I think that is what Jesus would like me to do.
