Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a Mom who loves to cook, travel, read books, go on outdoors adventures and, most of all, be with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Family, faith, travel, cooking, reading and exploring...That's me in a nutshell. I'm married to my very best friend in the whole world, which is awesome! We have four children who are the loves of my life. My very favorite thing to do is explore the world with them. We've been to beaches, mountains, cities, jungles...but the best part is discovering new places together! When I'm home, I love to cook. I try new recipes all the time for my family...from crab cakes to curries to breads and desserts! Luckily, our kids are very adventurous eaters! (The only thing that really didn't fly with anyone was the portabello mushroom burgers.) When I have a minute to myself, there's nothing I like more than to curl up in the sunshine or by the fireplace and read a book.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel extremely grateful to have had a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for as long as I can remember. I've never questioned my faith or my Heavenly Father. I know He is there for me always, and I know He listens to me, loves me and wants the best for me, my family and all of His children. Besides my family, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the one solid part of my life that I know is constant and will never change. I know Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of all mankind...including me! Because of this, I have the chance to live with my family forever, and that is what life's all about. In our family, we like to say, "I love you to the moon and back a trillion, gazillion times," and to me, that means we can love each other FOREVER! How blessed we are to be part of this wonderful plan of salvation, family, love and JOY!

How I live my faith

I've had callings in just about every area in the church...Primary, Scouts, Relief Society, and Young Women...which is my very favorite! I love being with amazing young women whose testimonies are strong, and who are wise beyond their years. They've taught me so much! Wherever I serve, I feel so blessed to have the Holy Ghost to guide and direct me. I also am so grateful for the lessons I've learned about losing myself in service; it's pretty hard to be grumpy when you're serving someone else! One of my favorite callings was to create and produce a Nativity production. My husband and I were called to work together on this project, and we involved most of the ward and neighborhood. My testimony of the Savior grew and grew and grew as I watched miracles unfold and felt the spirit encircle us as we reenacted that sacred night so long ago, when our Savior was born. How blessed I feel for my testimony of our Savior and His church upon this earth!
