Hi I'm Katelyn

I am a student, daughter and a sister. I am determined and hard working and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family, playing the piano and working with young children. I am really patient. I love to laugh. I enjoy cooking and baking whenever I can. I love reading good long books when I am not in school. I have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently going to school once more and will graduate this year. I returned home a couple of years ago from serving a mission in the South Carolina, Columbia mission. My service as a missionary continues to bless my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been lucky to have wonderful parents who are faithful members of the church. They set the example for me and who I want to become. They taught me the things I needed to learn but then I had to gain my own faith. At some point in our lives we have to figure out who we are and where we are going. I didn't really need to find myself I already knew these things were true. I know this is the true church on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know God called Joseph Smith to be the first prophet on the earth in the last days. I know that there is a modern day prophet on the earth today and that he leads and guides the church today. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He died for me and that He lives today. I am so grateful to be a member of this church. This gospel has blesssed my life and it can bless yours. I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I continually strive to do my very best each day. With all the day to day stresses that come into our lives it is hard to stay focused on Christ. Each day I spend time studying His words and every Sunday I attend my church meetings. I love Him and do my best to serve Him daily. I try to be an example to others and let them see how the gospel has blessed my life. Although my service as a full time missionary ended I can continue to represent Jesus Christ in all aspects of my life.
