Hi I'm Valerie

I'm a Mormon. I am a stay at home mom and wife. I also am a nurse. I love music, my dog and anything with my family.

About Me

I am a mom of 5 children. I am a registered nurse and worked in a New Born Intensive Care unit. I traveled to several countries before I married. I am married to a wonderful man. I love gardening, reading, playing the piano and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I love that there is a prophet of God on the earth today to help us in our time, with the problems that we have today. I know that God cares about us as much today as in ancient times and that he has prepared a way for us to get the help we need now. As I have prayed about the principles of the gospel and this church I have received personal answers of it's truthfullness. I am also a member because of the importance of the family in our church. In a world that seems so upside down and always worried about making ourselves happy it is good to have reason to think of others. How can you be truly when you only think about yourselves. Christ taught that "Charity never Faileth" If he is our example in this life I think we should live as he did. He always served others. That is what our church tries to teach us. How to love and serve others. As I follow Him I am happier. I also am grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever. I love my family so much and I am glad to know that our relationship does not end with death.

How I live my faith

I work with the young women in our church. I help them to be leaders themselves. I help them to organize weekly activities and also teach them about the gospel on Sunday's. Frequently I Play the Piano or organ in our church meetings.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Valerie
I think mainly because of our love for them. We believe that we lived in a family before coming to earth and that we can be with our families after this life if we live worthy to have them. Show more Show less
