Hi I'm Ed

I was raised in the church coming from old pioneer stock.

About Me

I am a computer technician with more than 30 years experience. In 2009 I decided to return to school to achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a high school science teacher. My hobbies include Amateur Radio, working with leather, family history, and most important spending time with my family. We have six kids the youngest just graduated High School and has moved into college housing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and can trace my LDS roots back to the early days of the church. As a teenager I fill away from the gospel but found that I really wasn't happy, after several years I returned to my roots and found true happiness by living the gospel.

How I live my faith

The earliest memories I have of my dad were of the two of us going to service projects together, I was to young to be of much help, but I would carry water, nails, etc to the workers. These early experiences built within me a love of service. Over the years I have donated thousands of hours in service projects both within the church and within the community. I first volunteered with the American Red Cross in 1988. In 2005 I trained to become a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member and in 2007 a CERT instructor. I am also involved in the ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) Program as well as other disaster response organizations.
