Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very active outdoor person. I run, I swim, I ski, I wakeboard. I am a mom and love the park, library, zoo, museum, etc with my kids. I love good music and playing the piano and especially dancing with my children. I love good friends and gatherings with my extended family. I love to travel and learning about other cultures. I love a good book, especially mysteries. I love to cook with my husband. I enjoy good musicals productions and Friday night movie night with my kids. I love to build things outside and gardening in my yard. I love to sew. I love to snorkel. I love to visit the beach and the lake.

Why I am a Mormon

I started reading the Book of Mormon when I was 10 years old because it made me feel good and I had a better day when I read. By the time I was 14 I wanted to know if the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were true. I had been taught about Joseph Smith and the restoration of the gospel and I was the same age he was when he saw God and Jesus Christ so I began to pray for a testimony. After about 4 months of praying and reading, I got my answer through the spirit testifying to me or the reality of Joseph Smith and the reality if the Book of Mormon while I was reading in the Doctrine and Covenants. That was the starting point for me and I have spent my life learning more through studying and trying to live the principles I learned about. I have gained gradual testimonies of each principle I tried little by little. A few years ago I mentioned in a casual conversation that I could never turn back now. I know too much and could never deny the testimonies I have deep rooted in my heart.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day in my everyday life. I try to be kind and loving to my children and patiently guide them and teach them. I try to find some way to help either my family or others daily. I try to always treat everyone around me with respect and genuine concern for their lives. I visit good friends monthly and teach them as well a help with any needs they have. I work with the youth and teach them the gospel. I plan weekly activities with them that help them learn skills for the future and prepare them for adulthood. I help at our neighborhood school and sports teams in the community.
