Hi I'm Carolyn

I grew up being an active Mormon but went inactive for 35 years and now I've been an active Mormon for the last 17 years.

About Me

I'm a fifth generation Mormon. All my ancestors on both my maternal & paternal sides were Mormon Pioneers and settled in different areas of Utah. I was raised as a child attending church and learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ but then at the age of 17, I decided not to go to church anymore that I wanted to be "worldly". I married and had two daughters and we were not active in church for 35 years except for my youngest daughter. She had good LDS friends who she attended church with and was active in Young Women. She was my "angel" She guided me back to the church after her father passed away when she was just 15 years old. I was also helped along with good neighbors and ward members the Relief Society Presidency and my Visiting Teachers. My Bishop challenged me to make myself Temple Worthy and to receive my Endowments and to be Sealed to my husband. This I did and within two years of my husband's death, we were sealed with the youngest daugher being sealed to us. My journey in life since this took place has been nothing but blessing after blessing. For the last 17 years, I have been called to serve in many church callings mostly Relief Society. I am now currently serving at the temple as an Ordinance Worker and serve as a Volunteer Service Missionary with LDS Family Services. I could not feel more blessed than I am now.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I came from five generations of Mormons and was baptized and raised as a Mormon. I'm Mormon because I know it is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. I'm Mormon because I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to true happiness and if we live and keep the commandments as Christ has ask us to do, we may return to His presence and have eternal life. I'm Mormon because I want to be with my family forever and I know that if I keep my covenants made with the Lord that He will bless me in that way.

How I live my faith

I live by striving to keep the commandments. I try very hard to "love my neigbor"...an ongoing process. As mentioned before, I have served in several callings especially in the women's organizatiion of the church. At present, I serve as an Ordinance Worker at our temple and am serving as a Service Missionary with the LDS Family Services in our area. I do not receive any monetary compensation for these positions but do this because of the blessings I receive from being involved in the work of the Lord.
