Hi I'm Erik

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I Live a suburb of Atlanta. My wife and I moved here 8 yrs ago and we love living in the south. The climate in the south fits perfectly with my hobbies. I love to golf, run, bike and swim. I love having the influence of other Christians in our area, living in what some consider the "bible belt". I am a Dentist and I have a small practice in our town. Our family loves to travel, especially to beach destinations. Living in Georgia, we have short drives to several beaches.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. My Parents were good examples to me growing up, and taught me to have Faith in Jesus Christ. Growing up in the church was a great blessing for me. Having close friends in the church helped me make good choices. Growing up in Tennessee, I was able to have lots of friends outside of the church, and that also helped me to make good choices, because I always knew they were watching my example. I love teaching my children those same standards and truths, and I know that it will allow them to make good choices as well. I know that through these truths that are taught by the church, we can find happiness and joy.

How I live my faith

My family and I are very involved with our church group. I work with the leadership of the church and enjoy traveling to different congregations to share talks with them. It provides me a chance to meet other mormons, and to get to know their struggles and challenges. As a Dentist, I strive to be a good example through showing my patients compassion, and being honest with them in all that I do. Because of this, I have been able to meet some wonderful people and build great friendships.

What is being a Mormon like?

Erik
When you are a Mormon, others may describe the way you live your life as peculiar. And I don't mind that they think that way, because it is true. I try to separate myself, as much as possible, from doing what the "world" may except as popular, if it interfers with the teachings of the Lord. Being into sports, I love following the health guidelines. I feel like these laws help me to be a better athlete. Being a Mormon means always trying to do what Jesus would do If he were living here on the earth. Show more Show less
