Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up going to non-denominational churches and always felt like there was more. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Austin, TX and went to Anderson High School. I played soccer, track and swam for the school as well as played piano and rode horses competitively. I went to CSU studied Health and Exercise Science and am now getting my CNA at Front Range Community College this August. I got married to my husband Paul March 12, 2011 in San Antonio, TX we were married in the temple and will never forget how beautiful it was. We adopted a dog right before we got married her name is Lizzie she is my makeshift child till the time is right and the Lord wants to bless us with a child. My husband Paul plays football for CSU and is graduating in December with a construction management degree. My husband Paul is one of the most inspirational people I know. He has a drive and ambition that can help him accomplish anything he puts his mind to. I love to run! Fitness and Athletics have always been my thing since I was little. I love a challenge and a good sweat. I like to push my body to extremes and watch myself adapt and overcome obstacles that I never thought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized Catholic and went to Catholic school until 2nd grade. My family was a non practicing Catholic Family we prayed on only holidays. I went to church with friends growing up and loved it and kept finding my way on my own. It wasn't until I went to college that I ran into a Mormon family that forever changed my life. From the moment I first went to church with the Mormon family I knew there was something different. They had something no other church had. It wasn't weird or secretive I could find out whatever my heart desire if I have the faith and believed. It was very hard on my family converting but in the end it has been a blessing and my family has begun to ask more questions. Because I am strong and know what I believe my family has learned to respect me and to take my choice of religion seriously. I am now almost to my 2 year mark of being a mormon and I don't regret any of it

How I live my faith

I live by faith by participating in my current calling which is Ward Missionary. The point of this calling is to help those who are struggling with there faith and help get them to go to church and strengthen there testimony. We also help the missionaries find new people to teach and spread the word to. Our ward Cache La Poudre has many opportunities to participate and learn about the church. Right now the ward missionary counsel is looking to set up a day where non members or people just curious about the church to come into the building and be give a tour. Then we would be open to questions that will help clear up misconceptions and rumors about the church and make people feel more welcome.
