Hi I'm Brittany

I love to laugh! I love basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the oldest in my family. I have 3 younger sisters and great parents! I am currently learning to speak the beautiful language of Spanish. I am loving every second of it! I am going to college and studying Special Education. I work with foster children. I love basketball, and am a HUGE Utah Jazz fan! I love to read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I love to laugh and do crazy, out of the ordinary things with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's all I've ever know. I grew up in the faith, but like every person in the church, I had to find out for myself. I couldn't lean on my parents testimonies forever. I gained my testimony over time and after putting the things I've learned all my life to the test. I had to read the Book of Mormon. I had to pray about it. I had to go to church. I had to make mistakes (sometimes we do have to find things out the hard way). I don't think I ever really doubted the things I grew up learning, but over time I came to know for myself that the church is true! The Gospel of Jesus Christ and its teaching are the only things in this world that bring true happiness. There is no other way. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the way the Lord speaks to us. We can find answers to our prayers when we read that precious book. Joseph Smith was a prophet. We have a living prophet today. God hears and answers our prayers. We can communicate with Him. He knows us personally, individually, and by name. The greatest knowledge I have come to know for myself is that Jesus Christ lives! He is our Savior. There is nothing in this world that we could go through that He hasn't gone through first. He knows our names. He knows what it feels like to be hurt, to be alone, abandoned, and afraid. He has said, "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." He is anxiously awaiting for us to come to Him. His arms are wide open and ready. He is always by our side, if we just let Him in. There is no wound that He cannot heal. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. He is my best friend. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! I have direction and guidance in my life. I feel peace when I follow the commandments. Nothing beats that!

How I live my faith

I think the greatest way to live my faith is by example. People watch you all the time, even if you don't realize it. I try my best to have people see through my actions that I love Jesus Christ and that I am one of His followers.
