Hi I'm Bryan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family, and I have 4 sisters. Not only am I a brother and a son, but I am also an uncle- I have a 3 1/2 year old nephew and a brand new niece! I love playing sports (especially basketball), watching movies, and just being with family and friends. I also really enjoy listening to music and the always classy crossword puzzle. After high school I attended 2 years of college, and I'm currently serving in Alaska as a full time missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of this church, and it's all I'ver ever known. All of my family members are LDS, and the vast majority of my friends are as well. My parents taught me to live according to the true principles of the gospel, and for a long time I never questioned that. However, I think every person comes to the point where they have to determine for themselves what they really believe, and how they are going to live their life. For me, choosing to serve a mission has been the biggest thing that has really cemented my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. To be honest, one of the biggest reasons that I came out on my mission was because I knew my mother really wanted me to. Now, that's not the only reason- I've always basically believed the church was true, but I just didn't have that strong conviction. Luckily, I had enough of a testimony that, along with the guidance of church leaders, family members and friends, I decided to come on a mission. The experience of testifying everyday of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has caused me to rely on my Heavenly Father to confirm to me that the things I teach to others really are true. It has caused me to study the scriptures more earnestly, to ponder our Savior's teachings more sincerely and to pray more fervently. By doing these things, my testimony has been strengthened tremendously, and I can now say that I do know that Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that this is the Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going out everyday and sharing it with others. As a full-time missionary, I have been called to invite others to come unto Christ. I do that by teaching them of our Heavenly Father's plan and helping them to find that happiness that comes through living the teachings of Christ. I invite them to listen to our message and to read the Book of Mormon, to study and ponder sincerely, and then to ask God to know if these things are true. I love being a missionary because it allows me to see and experience the joy that this gospel brings- not only in my own life, but in the lives of others.
