Hi I'm Shannon McAffee

I live in CA. I choose to follow Christ. And I'm Mormon:)

About Me

I have had the great privilege of living in Southern California for the past 11 years now and love everything about it! I somehow manage to find new and exciting things to do. You can't go wrong when you live only 15 minutes from the beach. What a blessing. That's one of the many many blessings I have received thus far: my family who loves me, my membership in the church, friends who support me, a healthy/operating body, and most of all a Heavenly Father who personally knows me. Its easy to live the gospel when your surrounded by a strong family whose rooted deeply in their faith and friends who have high standards of themselves and you. I have learned that if you want to be happy for the rest of your life, you have to serve others for the rest of your life. I am very capable of that. Like Moroni says: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth." (Moroni 7:46)

Why I am a Mormon

I've learned that living the standards of the church is what brings me the most happiness. I myself, along with all the worldy things, can only make me happy for so long. The kind of happiness that dwells within you and makes you feel at peace with who you are and where your headed in life can only be found here in this everlasting gospel. Everyday I feel blessed to be apart of such a great church. The more I discover about the LDS church, the more I realize how grateful and truly blessed I am to be a Mormon in this big, changing world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small and simple things everyday like reading my scriptures and praying outloud each morning and night to my Heavenly Father. I live my faith by doing what our church wants us to do: serving others. "Faith without works is dead", so work! Find someone to help and love, everyone needs it.
