Hi I'm Michael

I'm the fifth of seven children. I love music, animals, and caves. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love language, mind games, and puzzles.  I did Boy Scouts when I was younger. I went on my mission to Santa Rosa, California, where I learned Spanish. I study piano performance at a conservatory. I look up to my dad because he's tall. I also look up to him, and my mother, because they have always been an example of patience and love. I look forward to starting a family soon, with the correct priorities. My life goal is to be indelibly optimistic. I like to be proactive because there's nothing worse than passing life by without having a say in what happens.

Why I am a Mormon

It would take a lifetime of experience to discover all of the reasons someone would want to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - which is why I am a Mormon now, and will be for the rest of my life. Ever since I was little, my parents taught me about a loving Heavenly Father, and how we can communicate with Him through sincere prayer, and of the ability to choose right from wrong, and the consequences of each. They taught me if I wanted to be happy, I had to choose that. Not just choose to be in a good mood, but to take action to forge habits and character traits that lead to true happiness. I am a Mormon by choice, because God has told me of His plan for me, and I want to be a part of it. I love my Heavenly Father, and know He has given us a church to help us learn and grow, to support and be supported by, and I am truly grateful to be a part of it. I know I am choosing happiness because I feel it.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a full-time proselyting mission for the church in Northern California, which means that all day, every day, for two years, I represent the Lord Jesus Christ and am a messenger for Him to anyone willing to listen. As a part of that, and in connection with my musical inclination, I accompany the congregation during some of our meetings, and provide special numbers, and teach free piano classes. There is nothing that has brought me greater joy than to set aside everything for the Lord.
