Hi I'm Oliver

I grew up in LA California, I love the city, mountains, and beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small suburb from a big city, love playing volleyball for fun, family is the most important thing ever. Sometimes my mom would feel like just getting up and going to the mountains for a good family hike, or go down to the beach for a great family bonfire. With my friends we would either go to the movies, go eat out, or go play some early morning tennis which was always fun. At times, we would even pull all nighters having intense sessions of video games with a great late night snack, some ice cream. I use to go to college, went for about two years, but then put it off for a more important part of my life. I am kind of at that phase where I need to choose what I want to do with my life which is pretty scary, but I know God will help me when the time comes.

Why I am a Mormon

So why am I a Mormon? That's a pretty good question actually, I mean you hear of the certain things we believe we need to follow when the world says something different, but as I have applied the things that I have been taught, I truly have felt so much more happier than a lot of people that i grew up with but might have taken different paths. I was raised in this church but i never really knew what that actually meant until I read and prayed to know if the Book Of Mormon was true. When I did that, the things that i had learned in my life about living the gospel had a different meaning for me, when I received my answer from the Holy Ghost, i knew that I had to do my best to follow God, I put all my trust in him even if I didn't know what was going to happen, I am really grateful that God took the time to send his Holy Spirit to answer my prayer because it has truly changed my life.

How I live my faith

I am actually serving as a missionary in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I love being a missionary, especially because of the opportunity I have to help others know the truth about the things we share. I love meeting great people that take the opportunity to listen to our message and act on the things we invite them to do. Sometimes they are afraid to make these big changes, but when they do their lives change drastically because of the path they were willing to take to follow Christ's teachings. We go around trying to find people that are willing to act on this message to change their lives. We don't get paid, we just take two years of our lives to serve and help people come to this knowledge. It really is a lot of fun and I love the people that I have had the opportunity to meet.
