Hi I'm Jared

I am a husband, father, and "wanna be" golfer. Happy to say I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, and father of five children. 4 boys and one girl. I enjoy spending time in the mountains camping with my family. I love to travel to new places, and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon most simply because I see a clear difference in my life when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I recognize that many have access to some of the teachings of the Savior, but this is the only church where I know I can have access to all of his teachings relevant to why I am here on earth, and how I can be happy. This knowledge didnt simply appear one day, but has been through deliberate and persistant prayer and trial of Mormon teachings, and the subsequent peace and contentment I feel in my heart and mind. I feel I live in a save haven, where although difficulties can abound for me and my family, I can have unlimited access to support and love from my Father in Heaven, and from church members who are also trying their best. The toughtest questions of my life have answers, and have lead to some of my most joyful and happy times. I am a Mormon because I know for myself it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to be very active in the community, from participating in all of my various professional organizations, to volunteering at my childrens schools. I also spend nearly every friday in February and March giving presentations on teeth in area schools to kindergarden and 1st grade. At church it has been my privelidge to participate in nearly every organization. I have taught the smallest of children in primary, and climbed tall mountains and scuba dived with boys from the age of 12-18, and while I dont receive any monetary compensation for this service, I can say that the good things it has brought to my life are many. It is such a great feeling to look around and see so many individuals who view each other as brothers and sisters, and treat each other with love and kindness. While we are not perfect, there are always those willing to help and lift each other in a moments notice. On a personal level I have seen my children learn much of respect and loving others as they have watched my wife and I try to help where we can. What better way to teach children to be responsible productive members of society, than to live it myself, and in the end have a very fulfilling, happy, and content life.
