Hi I'm Britney Kay

I cut children's hair, a returned missionary and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love life!!! :D I love to laugh! I absolutely love my family, friends and Savior! Without them, I wouldn't be anywhere close to who I am today. I love being around people and talking to everybody! I believe you make the most out of your life by just sharing your talents, doing what you love most and trying new things! I work at a place designed just for cutting children's hair. The chairs are motorcycles and airplanes! I am going to start school in the fall to become a medical assistant! I love to sing and I sing at the top of my lungs and make up songs about what I am doing at that moment! I love sports! Go Boise State! I am one of those people that sit in front of the TV and yell at the players through the TV! I love my four wheeler and can't get enough of the mud and trails! I just love being outdoors and being around all that our loving Heavenly Father has created for us! The gospel has truly helped me to know who I am and why I am here! Heavenly Father has so much potential for each of us, the gospel maps out the each step to help us reach it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an amazing family who cherish and love the gospel! I am very blessed to be able to have their examples, but like always, we are all curious in what to believe in. Even though my family all believed in the gospel and had testimonies of their own. I couldn't base my life on their beliefs. So, I myself had to find out what I truly believe in and what works for me. I had a time in my life where I wasn't as strong in the gospel as I should have been. I noticed a huge difference in my life during that time. I wasn't as happy as I was before and could have been. I went to church but with the wrong intentions. I went just for the social aspect of it, not to learn of Christ. There was one day I really felt down and I didn't know what I needed to be happy again. so I picked up my Book of Mormon off the floor and started reading. The passage of scripture filled my soul and I knew that my Heavenly Father was watching out for me and I knew he was there with his arms of love around me. From then on I have had a testimony (that keeps growing each day) and I know that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ and he restored his church through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it does have the power to change lives for the better! I love this gospel and I know by living it, we can be truly happy and we can look forward to the future with high hopes, because with God all things are possible!

How I live my faith

I just returned from a mission as a full-time missionary in the Vancouver, Canada Mission!!! I gave all my time and effort in serving the Lord for 18 months! I loved every minute! I dedicated myself to helping others find the joy that living the Gospel and following Jesus Christ brings! The Gospel gives a sense of hope and belonging! With the Gospel you have a sense of who you are and what is in store for you! Now that I am home, I serve young women and primary to help them know who they are and make the right choices for their future! The choices today, makes your future for tomorrow! Living your faith, is just that. It is a way of life! Everything you do determines your destiny. Your choices now effect your whole life, here and in the eternities! Make everyday count! Live for this day! Live like you believe! Help others reach their full potential and as you do you reach yours! Following the example of the Savior Jesus Christ is the best thing you can do! Do as he would! Love as he does! As you do, you find greater joy in life and you just want to share that joy with everyone around you! So get up and go, you start by example!
