Hi I'm Miriam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to spend time with family. My hobbies include reading and crocheting.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of this church. I love feeling the peace and happiness I have as I seek to obey the commandments. I know this Church is true. I know Heavenly Father loves me and that He loves all of us. We are all His children and He cares about us. I know the Savior lives. I know He loves us too. I know we can pray and our prayers are heard. I know I have help along the way as I work on becoming a better person. Knowing what the Savior has done for all of us helps me know that my life has great meaning. It matters what choices I make. It matters how I treat others. It all matters because I matter to my Heavenly Father. He has a plan for me and for all of us. He wants us to return to live with Him. I have things to work on and learn. My family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I work to reach my goals. I love to pray and read scriptures. I help with Church assignments I'm given. I trust Heavenly Father and I'm happy because I trust Him. I'm also happy as I work to serve others and do the things Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ ask me to do.

What is faith?

Miriam
Faith is believing in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and acting on that understanding. Faith is being willing to step towards God even when we don't yet have the "proof" others might want us to have. When we have faith, we trust that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and that They don't leave us alone to face the challenges of life. Having faith means we don't give up on our belief in a loving Heavenly Father just because we face challenges. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Miriam
Reading the Book of Mormon, Bible, and other scriptures brings me peace. I feel better when I read. I find hope. I better understand the things going on in my life. It's easier to be positive when I'm reading and thinking about scriptures daily. I sometimes receive answers to my prayers as I read the scriptures. I know better what to do or how to cope when I'm still not sure how things will turn out. I feel the comfort of the Holy Ghost as I study the scriptures. When I read I also learn about the Savior -- how much He loves us and what He's done for us and all that He's made possible for us. I feel in those moments how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. Show more Show less
