Hi I'm Ed

I grew up in the church, married 22 yrs, work at KIA mftg, ward missionary and priest quorum advisor.

About Me

My parents were converts. I was raised up in the church and sealed to my parents in the Salt lake temple. I have 1 sister and 2 brothers. We moved often and I attended many schools. (Albany Ga, Morrow Ga, Roy UT, Savannah Ga, Portsmouth VA, Pensacola FL) My wife and I were married in the Atlanta temple 22 years ago. We adopted our son & only child through LDS Social Services, He was 21 days old and truly God's gracious gift. We were sealed as an eternal family in 1994. I worked at a roof mftg 16 years, Cocacola 5 years as delivery driver, Clorox Mftg 12 years, Kia Mftg as quality control test track driver. My favorite hobby is falconry, I am a licensed Master falconer, my favorite raptor is redtail hawk which we take out and chase squirrel and rabbits. I still have my 1st trapped (immature) hawk 9 years. My favorite hunting buddy. Extreme Bird Watching, the birds are the hunters and we get to see all the action. The bird can leave at anytime but he chooses to maintain the relationship. In the last 7 years we've had lots of death in our family, including our son who died at 16 from brain cancer, which is the hardest thing I've ever had to experience. I enjoy classic rock, going to the movies, attending church and the temple regularly with my wife, and recently reading spiritual books. We like having our sons friends continue coming over and spending time in the gameroom and with family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the Church and I was baptized by my dad in Albany, GA when I was 8 years old. We were sealed as a family at the Salt Lake City temple when I was 11. After graduating high school I went out on my own and drifted away from the church for awhile. My mothers testimony helped to bring me back into the church after I realized that my life was not headed in the direction that I knew it needed to be. I will always be thankful for my mother and her strong testimony and example she set for me and others. I was able to get active in the church once more and it there I met my eternal companion who I am sealed to for time and all eternity. The gospel also provided and blessed me with a beautiful son. One of the benefits of getting back involved in the church I have an opportunity to serve; stake missionary, asst scout master/scout master, 1st and 2nd counselor in a branch; branch president, primary teacher, temple preparation teacher, deacons quorum advisor, priest quroum advisor and ward missionary. I have gained a strong testimony of the joy service can bring to our life as we are obedient to the teachings of the gospel. Having the knowledge of what we can become offers me hope and joy. and the possibility of an eternal family

How I live my faith

I look forward for each Sunday to meet with my wonderful ward family that means so much to us. They supported us during my sons illness and our daily struggles without hesitation. They offered much comfort and uplft. I hope to be able to do the same for others and make that a goal for myself in this lifetime. I find much joy serving in the temple, which brings families together, not only in this life but for eternity. We learn that we are all family. I especially love going to the temple with my wife, my mother, and now father. My desire is to continue to grow in faith, hope and charity that I will be able to love and help others by the example of Jesus Christ.
