Hi I'm LeAnn

My most favorite people in this world call me- Sweetheart, Mom, Bama (Grandma). And I call them ETERNITY! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very content and happy wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend and neighbor. There is nothing more important to me than the people I have been blessed to have in my life. I love the saying if you have a family that loves each other and stays close to each other then you have the world, and if that family has friends and neighbors who loves them all too, than you have an eternal solar system to call your own. My hobbies are gardening, dancing, playing rockband, (I really have a womens rock band-band,) riding my bike, cooking, walking, creating and hosting parties, weddings, and banquets. Playing different kinds of sports and watching them too. I love politics, and talking about them even more. Time for quiet Scripture study in the morning is a must! And talking about and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is a passion and a spiritual growth builder for me. My best hobby is my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found nothing that makes me happier than the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born into a Mormon home, but there came a time that I had to find out if it was true for myself. As a child of 10 yrs., my father was seriously electrocuted. Without hesitation my mother called us together and reminded us that we are an eternal family and that "Our family will be together forever"- No Matter What! I remember feeling the presence of two special men holding me in their arms and whispering she is right! I never forgot it! As my young son and his wife were faced with the loss of their first child a little precious girl, I was once again faced with this question; Will families really be together forever? I then heard that same reassurance as I did as a little girl of 10, that yes, through Heavenly Fathers plan, Families can be together forever and mine will, No Matter What! As I held my first grandchild moments before she was sent back, to return to the arms of those two heavenly men who's presence I have felt so many times in my life whispering to me again "families are forever"! So here I am today in my life with my oldest sister dying of a brain tumor, it is summer of 2011 and as her earthly days are drawing to an end I found myself kneeling by her bed one night watching her lay in her bed sleeping with the peace of a new born baby, amazed at the love I have for that talented, beautiful, righteous daughter of God; My big sister, My hero. And for a moment I had to ask, will I see you again-really! Will I? The thought is but a moment as I realize that a truth I chose to plant so firmly in my heart and mind many years ago that "families are forever" replaced that wondering thought and I remembered that through our Heavenly Father's Plan; That Great Plan of Happiness made possible through temple covenants that my family will indeed be "together forever" NO MATTER WHAT! This is one of the many reasons. I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Because I feel the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a church of service and love. I look for every way I can to be the hands of our Heavenly Father or the voice and ears of our Brother Jesus Christ, trying to do all I can to assist all of his children where the spirit may prompt me to do so. I have had the privilege to serve on several Children Hospital boards, serve on the school PTO boards and I now have the privilege of representing my faith on the Arizona Interfaith Golden Rule Board. Serving in the church has been such an enjoyable time of blessings as I have been blessed to teach the 18 month old children in Primary and all ages of children up to the young Single Adults in Institute the lessons of our brother Jesus Christ's amazing life, his gift to all. I live my faith by trying to love my Savior and then go out and do what he asks us to do next, and that is to love our neighbors as ourselves. And finally, I live my faith by holding true to the covenants I made at marriage so many years ago. And by keeping those covenants I have received many of the promises made to me and my eternal companion, and husband. Our children have been so blessed by our decision to be sealed for time and all eternity. We all say we are such a blessed and happy family, because we choose family first, so many others around us have chosen to create eternal families too. And nothing is better than the promise of having an eternal family forever!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

LeAnn
I cannot think of anything that has made my life easier, especially during the hard times and happier, than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have tried at times of discouragement to find fault with the teachings, but when I truely seek for truth nothing else makes as much since to me as the restored doctrines by modern day prophets added to the teachings in the Bible and Book of Mormon written by prophets of old. My heart and mind are at peace when I ask not to know if it is true, but to tell me what is wrong about it. I have never got an answer as to what is wrong about it, other than the thought- NOTHING! It is Perfectly True! Show more Show less
