Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married & have 6 children, 3 grandchildren & another one due in April 2012. I work for the Cerebral Palsy League where I manage an Australian Disability Enterprise. I live in Brisbane Australia and in my spare time I am a soccer referee. I was born in the UK and my wife and me emergrated to Australia in 1993. Being brought up in Liverpool, I naturally support Liverpool FC, the best club in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in November 1997. Before that, I was a member of the Church of England. I have always been interested in religion, although my parents never really encouraged it. I became a member of the church because the doctrines made perfect sense. In 1985, we had a baby daughter, Jemma, who lived for just 3 hours. I remember thinking, why was it important, for her to receive a name in hospital, when it was clear she was dying, The truth is it wasn't, as she was completely innocent and didn't need to be baptised.

How I live my faith

I believe that I try to show my honest dealings with whoever I come into contact with. I also try to practice acts of service. Until recently, I was the Ward Clerk in our church. This meant keeping records up to date and helping with the finances.
