Hi I'm Allison

I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church, baptized August 27th, 2010. I am a native to the great state of Arizona where I am currently attending community college, pursuing a degree in psychology, hoping one day to be a family and marriage therapist. I love being busy, sitting still or being in one place is boring to me, so I'm always on the go. I love spending time with my family and friends. I believe smiling and laughing is good for the soul. I love playing sports, softball and basketball are my favorite. I'm a happy person and try to make the best out of every situation.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't looking to join the Church, I was content with where I was in life. I attended a Christian church that I had found while in high school, I was in a youth group I was super involved with and I was set with everything around me; but Heavenly Father had different plans for me, He knew it was my time to find the truth. Through trials and test, I have come to know for myself that this is true Church of Jesus Christ. I have never felt the Spirit so strong than I have while studying the Book of Mormon and searching the scriptures. I constantly feel the Savior's love all around me and for that I am eternally grateful. This Church has brought me so much happiness and peace to my heart. I am forever thankful for the missionaries that taught me and I am forever thankful for the knowledge Heavenly Father has brought to me about the truthfulness of His restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be. I am different from most of my friends; I refrain from drinking alcohol, I try not to swear, I'm honest, I dress modestly and I try to observe the Sabbath as best to my ability. It's not always easy, but it is always worth it. I do these things not because they're "rules", but because when I follow them I feel closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father, and that's the best feeling in the world. But the most important thing I try to do is let the light of Christ shine through me.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Many non members believe that we worship the Prophet Joseph Smith, and although we respect him, proclaim him, and see him as an instrument in the Lords hand in restoring the gospel, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God our Eternal Father and His son, the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
