Hi I'm Dale

I am a husband and a father. I work in the commercial insurance business. I like hiking, camping, cars, and riding my motorcycle.

About Me

I am married with 4 children. One is serving as a missionary in Milan, Italy. Another is a freshman at BYU and the other two are busy with elementary and middle school. I was a missionary in Montreal, Canada. I can speak French. I went to law school in Oregon and moved to Colorado after graduation. I like to go camping any chance I get. I enjoy the Rocky Mountains and the southwest desert region. I like to ride my motorcycle on remote, two-lane highways, enjoying the scenery as it goes by. Stopping in small towns for gas, a meal or an overnight stay is my favorite. People there are always friendly and willing to give you advice on where to stay, what to see, and the best places to eat. I love American history and culture. Some of the best museums are in these small towns. I learn about the past from the perspecitve of each community I visit. I like to see how people lived before me and what was important to them at that time. It's the same things as today: family, work and free time. If you keep a good balance between all three you can be happy with whatever life throws at you.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Mormon church brings peace and purpose to my life. I know that God has a plan for me and it's up to me to follow Jesus Christ and do my best to take care of my family, my neighbors and myself. The way to do that is to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live it in my daily life. I'm far from perfect, but I have a path to follow that can lead to true happiness.

How I live my faith

Sometimes I may seem different from those around me who are not Mormon because I don't drink alcohol or coffee, I don't curse or watch R-rated movies, and I go to church on Sunday. Once people get to know me, though, they see it's just part of who I am and I'm just like any of their other friends.
