Hi I'm Hol

I'm a Mother and darn proud of it. I do not like Jello. I drove a golf cart into a pond once. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom of two. I am married to a major hunk Ü. Right now I have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home Mom. I am loving it! Before this, I worked as a hair colorist. Now I take classes online to learn more about graphic design. I have also worked as a photographer. I love all things creative. I love life. I love my family. I love spending time with them. We love to hike, camp, swim, walk around the neighborhood, go "park hopping" and many more things. I love to sneak my husband's large wool socks and curl up to a good book by the fire - with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

My life revolves around the knowledge that I am a daughter of God, created in his image. I am of infinite worth in God's eyes. I am his daughter and he loves me and has sent me here to Earth. I was born in a loving family that raised me with this knowledge and taught me how to return to my Heavenly Father again someday. I have always believed this, but my testimony of it has become stronger and stronger, especially since I have become a Mother. The gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me. I experience heartache, trials, hardships and disappointments as we all do, but because of the gospel, I can find comfort any time I need it. I turn to my Heavenly Father and he answers my prayers. The gospel offers peace in my life, when the world around me is not peaceful. My home is a heaven on earth. I believe it is part of my divine nature as a woman to create this peace and comfort in my home. When we are living the Gospel, it invites the spirit and that is the difference we can feel between our home and the world. I have confidence raising my children in this day and age, because I have the tools I need to teach them who they are and what their purpose in life is. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and did not send me to Earth to fail and never return to him - but he provided our Savior Jesus Christ to die for us and provide a way back. The way is not easy, and we cannot do it without hard work and absolute faith and reliance in Christ, but it will be worth it!!

How I live my faith

I attend church every week with my family. My husband and I teach the Youth. We enjoy studying together to prepare lessons and spending time with our spirited teenagers each week. They teach us a lot, too. They are so strong and many of them stand alone as one of the few, if not only, members of the church in their school. I also have the opportunity to be a visiting teacher. I am assigned to two other women in the ward and have a companion that comes with me to visit these two women. I enjoy getting to know them and serving them in any way I can.
