Hi I'm Crystal

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Crystal and I'm 21 years old currently I'm attending the single ward where I live. I work full time as a nanny and will be starting school part time this fall. I am the only active member in my family of five.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up with a non-member father and an inactive mother made it so church was not a constant in my young life. Thankfully my mom still thought it important that my siblings and i were all baptized when we were 8 but other than that my church experience was lacking. When I was 12 I met a friend at school who was in the ward I would have attended had my family been going to church. Her and her family would take me to church with them some Sundays and because of this I was willing to ask my parents to take me to Wednesday night activities and when my friends family couldn't take me I was able to ask my own parents to drop me off at church. While that got me going back to church it wasn't till I was 14 that my testimony in the church became a real and powerful thing. I was 14 when I learned my parents were getting a divorce and it was such an awful blow to my young heart. Thankfully after having been back in church more for the past two years I knew I could pray to my Heavenly Father for help. It was that night with pouring my heart out to the Lord in prayer that I felt such peace and comfort that I knew of a surety the love our Heavenly Father has for me and all of us on Earth. It was this experience that caused my testimony in the gospel to become so solid that from then on even alone I continued and loved going to church each week.

How I live my faith

I try everyday to live my faith by remembering all the love our savior has for me and passing that along to those I meet. In the ward I'm in now I do indexing to help the church's records be more complete.
