Hi I'm Krissy

I'm a triplet from sunny California. I'm an architect major. I love to run and be in the sun. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am currently taking over 18 units while working towards my degree in Architecture in CA. I love learning. I have huge dreams that I intend to make a reality. I have done lots of various service projects. One of my favorite was volunteering for a place locally that helps people with disabilities ride horses for therapy and learning. I have served a mini-mission here locally. Some of my favorite activities are running, cleaning, home projects, cooking, gardening, practicing piano, playing games, being outdoors and participating in outdoor activities, and many more. I am turning 20 soon and trying to live to be all that Heavenly Father wants me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the church when I was 9. My mom's friend actually introduced her to the Gospel. She sent the missionaries to our house and that is where it all started. Although I was very young, I was still old enough to be able to notice a difference in our home. After quite some time my mom gained a testimony and she told my step-dad that she was planning on being baptized. My step-dad was very against the idea. In fact, he begged her and begged her to not do it. He left her for awhile as well. She knew that the church was true and that being baptized was something she needed to do. She continued on with the plan. My step-dad showed up to the baptism and then agreed to meet with the missionaries. He gained a testimony of the Church as well. My sisters and I were all raised in the church from that point on. My mom hit a rocky spot in life which left me at a spot to choose for myself if I was going to continue on living LDS standards or if I was going to allow myself to drift. I decided then that I needed to really figure out if the Book of Mormon was true. If it was true, I knew that the prophets and everything else the church was founded on was true. I studied the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. That experience changed my life forever. An answer to my prayer came to me and I knew without a doubt in my mind that it was true. I have read the Book of Mormon many times since then and have been consistently reminded that it is true. This testimony has led me to know that there is a God who loves us all very much. Because of that love, he developed a plan for us to return back to him after our earth life. To help us here in this life, he has restored the Church to help us learn of all the things that we need to do and to receive all the comfort and help we need. I'm running out of space so I'll conclude with I KNOW with all of my heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I attend the local ward with my family every Sunday. I also attend Institute classes during the week between my college classes. (Institute is a church class held at a building near the college campus where we study the gospel) I have served in many different positions in the church including teaching 11-12 year old kids Sunday school which was one of my favorite because I love teaching. I am currently studying the New Testament. I just finished the Book of Mormon. I am also studying the previous General Conference (where the prophet and apostles speak). This things help me to gain a stronger testimony.
