Hi I'm Abigail

I love the sky, family, and joy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a twenty-two year-old college senior, and I love seeing a person's face light up. Bringing others happiness is a hobby of mine. I absolutely love to make people laugh and smile because they are so beautiful when they do! I also love to learn and share what I'm learning with others. I love writing and reading, but I also love to dance, sing and play games. I've had the wonderful opportunity to work with children in service groups like youth city councils and service clubs. With these groups, I've been able to put on activities for kids, including Easter egg hunts and summer reading and music programs where I help them develop a love for reading, music, and learning as well. I recently returned from serving a full-time mission in the Philippines Laoag mission where I experienced daily miracles and really learned how special and important each person is to our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel gives me hope. My mother was converted when she was in her twenties, and I was blessed with the opportunity to be baptized when I was eight. I continue to live the gospel because it truly helps me through everything. Whenever I am going through a hard time, or struggling with something, or even when I'm confused, I know that someone--The One--has been there before. The Savior knows what I'm going through, and He knows just how to help me. The gospel He's given is just how He helps me do that; it keeps me on track and helps my focus stay on Him--the only way to truly be happy forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to always look towards Christ. One of the ways I do this is by looking for the little things that make life such a joy to live. One of my favorite quotes is, "Simple joys are all around us, we only have to take a moment to look for them." It's so true! Just seeing the amazing colors all around us and the way the sky is a different masterpiece every day reminds me that we have a Heavenly Father who is very aware of us. I also keep a journal which helps me remember the times I've seen the Lord's hand in my life throughout the day. When I remember or notice something like this, I share it with my family and my friends so that they can have the joy also. Seeing His hand helps me strive more to BE His hands in the lives of others.
