Hi I'm Andy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a divorced father of two, a software architect and a lover of life. I enjoy eating with friends and family, exploring new places and making new friends. I have found that my life has taken many unexpected turns, some of them pleasant, some of them not so pleasant but all of them have helped me be who I am now. I have worked hard to achieve a balance between work, family, community and faith. I have found great peace in this effort even though I still have a lot of room for improvement.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found a peace in being a Mormon that stays with me in even the most trying of circumstances. The times in my life when I have taken a different path I have felt like something was missing. When I have returned to following the gospel I feel complete. There is peace in doing what is right and following the whisperings of the Holy Ghost, in making and keeping righteous covenants and in repenting when things go wrong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being grateful for the many gifts I have been given. I teach a study group of older teenagers and share what I have learned, experienced and what I care about with them. We focus on studying the scriptures and the words of the prophets. I have felt a personal connection with one.org, an organization that works to alleviate poverty world wide by being active in our communities, calling our government representatives and reaching out to diverse groups of people. By building bridges here in our areas of influence we can help the most disadvantaged people worldwide and make this place a better place to live, just like Jesus Christ did.
