Hi I'm Maricela

I grew up in Los Angeles California, and if we have faith and hope we can get through hard times. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Los Angeles and I have five brothers and Three sisters my mom and dad. I love to have a big family it gets interesting at times and the best part is that we get to learn from each other, since they all have their own personality. Although we have a big family we get along really well and that's something that it's amazing to see. The reason for that is that we have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives which has blessed us in many different ways. It has helped us to build a stronger bond and strength to work together in different phrases of our lives. I love to go to the beach and enjoy the wonderful sunsets that's my all time favorite thing to do. I love the outdoors, enjoy camping, and just exploring the many beautiful wonders of this world. I like to listen to all types of music and try to play sports, which in many I need some practice on, but I still enjoy them. In this world there are many things yet to explore and learn!!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad were converted first and when I first came to the United States twelve years ago I started to go to church with them. I really enjoyed going to church because I loved to hear about the stories of Jesus Christ. I also liked the concept that families can be together forever not just here on earth but in the life to come as well. As I kept going to church I felt that I was in the right place and lt's good to know that the standards are the same as the ones that I grew up with. And in this changing world we need to hold on to the things that will help us learn and progress. I was baptized when I was nine and learning about God's teachings and about his gospel has helped me to get through the trials and difficult times in my life. Something that I have learned over the years is that we have to see our trials as blessings, because those are the ones that make us learn and develop christ like attributes that will help us in our lives. If I had the opportunity to change my life and all the hard times I simply wouldn't do it because those are the things that have helped me become who I am today. When we learn to see things from a different perspective that's when we realize that our problems are not as hard as they seem to be. Also God will never gives us more than we can bear and he will always be by our sides to give us the strength and help that we need to continue forward. God loves us and he wants us to find happiness in this life. I know that Our Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ is our savior and that through his atonement we can have the opportunity to follow his example and enter into the straight and narrow path that leads us back to him. He has blessed me in so many ways and has always been there by my side even when I thought otherwise. Having Faith in God and Jesus Christ has helped me to have hope that we can find happiness even when we are facing our trials.

How I live my faith

Over the years that I have been a member I have developed attributes that have helped me in my daily life. I have learned to have Patience, Love, Hope, Charity, Compassion and Faith. As I try to apply those principles in my life I have seen a difference in the things that I do every day. One of my callings was to teach the girls in Sunday school, It was good because I learned along with my students. Also I try to help those in need by providing service for them, it's a great to show our love for them. Currently I am serving a mission in Santa Rosa California and I love it because I share with everyone I meet the message of the gospel and how they can receive the blessings that our Heavenly Father has for them. It's the best decision that I have ever made and I'm grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to serve God.
