Hi I'm Seth

I play frisbee, make movies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in college studying Information Systems, I know, nerdy. But, aside from school, I enjoy running marathons, triathlons and rocking out on the piano! I like to listen to Ben Folds and also love making movies. I just finished making some movies about Zombies with local kids from the neighborhood, I like to think that it was a big hit!

Why I am a Mormon

At some point I realized that there was more to life then just going to school, working and so forth. Although I always went to church as a kid, it wasn't til I decided that I really ought to figure out what I believe in that I truly became a Mormon. I feel happy, peaceful, and the presence of God when I'm at church and throughout the week. His continued presence that I feel reaffirms my choice to be LDS and helps me get through the challenges of life with a positive attitude.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon entails more than just going to church on Sunday! I live my faith outside the church buildings by keeping the standards that I believe in, including not drinking, smoking, and using foul language. I also try to help others where ever I can, whether it be helping an elderly woman put groceries in her car, a friend move apartments, or my little brother make a movie for school. Just always try to be the best you can and put others before yourself, that's when I really feel like I've captivated the spirit of Christ and am living in harmony with His teachings.

What is faith?

Seth
Faith is believing in something that you don't really have any tangible proof that exists. However, faith is much more than mere belief, earnest faith can be demonstrated through our actions. If you have faith you're gonna pass your economics test, you're probably gonna be studying for awhile before you take it! The same principal applies to religious faith, James 217 teaches us that faith without works is dead, so you can show your faith by following Christ's example and being charitable, loving, understanding, humble, diligent and so forth. To have faith in God would be to trust in him, to act on your belief, and to confide in him. Show more Show less
