Hi I'm Lisa

I love the beauty of nature, the dynamics of people, and the peace of the Spirit. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 3, grandmother, friend, neighbor and co-worker. I have a rewarding career in banking and investments, but I'm also a homemaker. I love the outdoors and physical activity, but I also love reading and creating. I'm just like anybody and everybody. I like to be busy with projects and usually take on some new interest each year; sometimes it's a new sport, or just curtains in the living room. This year I am studying a new language. Family is where I spend my most rewarding time and energy. I've had much good fortune, but also plenty of sorrows. If you've been divorced, suffered loss of a loved one, illness, worry over children, financial reversal, then I'm right there with you. I think it's critical to get back up every time you fall and I feel that overcoming setbacks is just as important as achieving goals.

Why I am a Mormon

First and foremost I strive to follow Jesus Christ. I love Him as my savior, guide and champion. The world would and will be a better place if we could all strive to love, forgive, serve, and put others before self. Secondly, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has defined my life and my family relationships. With a spiritual anchor and lighthouse I am better equipped to handle the challenges of this life.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon, I have many opportunities to serve in my neighborhood, church, and community. I am a better person for being in the midst of this culture of volunteering. I am surrounded by good people and marvelous example of selfless love and service. I've worked with children, youth, and women, the disabled and disheartened. I love the humanitarian projects and the ideal to watch over each other, "you lift me and I'll lift you".
