Hi I'm Robin
I'm a mother of 3, and an engineer. I was born in California and have lived in the United States all my life. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I was born in California, and have lived there and in Utah, Arizona, Illinois, Oregon and Colorado. I have 3 children and 1 grandchild. I have been married for 26 years. I enjoy reading and computer games. I love being a grandmother, it brings such joy. I love puzzles and math (yes I know, very weird!) Part of my job is sorting data out, which is like putting a puzzle together everyday! I really enjoy my work as an engineer. I also love dogs. I have a German Shepherd right now and she is the center of my and my husband's world! Our 3 children are grown and we are learning about that empty nest thing. Life is so very good!
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into the LDS church, but left it in my teenage years. I spent 4 years drifting, not sure what I should be doing, how I should be living. I felt like I had no direction. But the promise in Proverbs 22:6 about training a child in the way he should go worked for me. I remembered what I had been taught in my youth. I came back to the church and am living the gospel fully. That was 22 years ago. My life has direction and fulness. I know who I am, why I am here and what my life means. I have PEACE! The world is very troubled, but I have a rock solid foundation under my feet. As long as I stand on that foundation - the gospel of Jesus Christ - then the storms may come and I will still be okay. I will have trouble in my life, but I am stronger for my trials, and my faith in God is stronger with each passing day. That knowledge is my peace.
How I live my faith
Actually, living the LDS lifestyle is easy for me. I am teaching the nursery children, which are the kids that are 18 months to 3 years old. It is great fun to have play time with them, and teach them about Jesus. We sing songs and we have snack time. It is so much fun! I also help when I can with anything musical. I can play piano, organ and flute and I also can lead music or a choir. Music is such an important part of our Sunday worship services. I have so many opportunities to serve other people through our church, it is really fun and helps me to put my problems into perspective. It is hard to feel sorry for yourself when you are serving others!!
