Hi I'm Grant

I'm happily married with 5 great kids. I practice orthodontics. I enjoy flying, and I love the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the last of 7 children - spoiled, maybe a little. I served a very rewarding mission to Spain. I was blessed with a great education, and now I love practicing orthodontics and making people smile. My greatest joy comes from being a husband and a dad. It's great being married to my best friend. If having grandkids is anything like having kids, I can't wait to be a grandpa. Serving others is very important to me. I especially love serving with the youth. Some of my favorite things to do include exercising and participating in outdoor activities with my family, friends, and Boy Scouts. I love to fly and work in the yard, but even more, I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I can remember I have felt that God is real and He knows me by name. Powerful stories of Jesus and of ancient prophets that my loving mother and inspiring teachers would tell me as a child have strengthened my faith in Him. As a teen, I read the Book of Mormon with real intent to know if it was true. Heavenly Father answered my sincere prayers, and the Holy Ghost bore witness to me of its truthfullness. A call to represent Jesus Christ as a full time missionary for His Church was a pivotal experience that strengthened my testimony in Him and His atoning sacrifice. It has been the summation of many small and simple experiences in my life that have continued to build my foundation in Christ. It seems the times I have grown the most are those of trial and challenge - times I really had to put my trust in the Lord. For me, it started with a desire to know if the Church was true. As I studied to learn the doctrines and principles of His gospel, I committed myself to live to merit a testimony. My testimony has come little by little, as a gift from a loving heavenly Father who cares about me and listens to my prayers. I know He created a plan for all of us to return and live with Him again as an eternal family. Jesus Christ and His atonement are at the very center of that plan. I am greatful for the restoration of Christ's church in these latter days. It teaches us the things we need to know to find true happiness in this mortal life, and what we need to do to prepare for the eternal life to come. In summary, I'm a Mormom because I love the Lord, I appreciate all He has done for me and my family, and I have a burning desire to help others come unto Him.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been blessed to serve in many capacities. My favorite have been those opportunities to work with the youth. They have so much to offer! I love participating in the Scouting program. The core values it teaches, and the character building experiences it offers, help young boys develop into great men. Whether it's working with the youth or the elderly, I have found that when I am serving others, I am serving God. I have also come to realize that one of the most important works I will ever do is within my own family. I feel the most important callings I will ever have are those of husband and father. If I can be successful at home, I will be a much better friend, be more effective in the office, and make much more of a difference in the community. My goal is to live my faith every day, all day, remebering Christ in all that I do, and following His example.
