Hi I'm Kathy
I am a Navy Wife, I am the mother to 5 children, but take in mom's and children who don't have anywhere else to go. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a proud Navy Wife to a great Navy Chief! I am a recent transplant to the Great Pacific Northwest. I love family, I love learning about those who have gone before me, I love doing genealogy. I have 5 children, 2 adult children from a previous marriage, 1 adult child who came with my husband and our 2 little boys. I am now a home schooling mom. Someday I would like to be a foster mom, but for now I am the matriarch of a home full of moms and children who haven't had another place to go. I love to read good books on massage and natural healing. I love feeding people and playing games. I love sharing the good things I have in my life!
Why I am a Mormon
There is a special feeling when the Lord and the Holy Ghost touch your heart! I love that feeling! I love living a life focused on the service to the Lord. This church focuses on service, we forget ourselves when we help others. Our leaders are good men and women who live a live focused on service. They are good people and I want to raise my children with people like them! I love our belief of an eternal family, especially now that my mother has passed on. Knowing that I can be with her again, in eternity, knowing that my marriage is eternal and that I will see my children in the hereafter helps me to live my best life. I feel very blessed that I have been given the opportunity, from a young age, to make sacred promises, even when I make mistakes I can repent and be a part of His fold. I want to share the blessings and gladness that I have in my life with those around me!
How I live my faith
I live my life by loving others. I have had MANY opportunities to serve through the church. I currently work with our Woman's organization as the secretary and I teach a 6 week course in family history. Throughout the year we are given plenty of opportunities to serve the community as well. My faith tells me that my job is to love and not to judge. Here in the town that I live are many asking for money at street corners, I don't tend to hand out much in the way of cash, but I have been known to bake brownies or make sandwiches and take those around. Sometimes a kind work or just acknowledging someone can make their day! Living by the Spirit's promptings helps me to know what I need to do!
