Hi I'm E. Jay Richardson

I am proud of my Native American heritage. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have five children. I enjoy studying other faiths and philosophies: I love to hear others' perspectives on both. Expressions of faith are moving to me. My other great passion is college football. There is hardly anything greater that a crisp, fall Saturday sitting in the stands watching all the pomp, tradition and competition. Life is good when college football is around.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because of LDS history but because of its future. While I respect Mormon history--challenges, triumphs and mistakes--it is the principle of continuing revelation that ignites my faith. I believe that God is very much active in the world today, guiding inviduals and groups. As a church that is built on the principle of revelation from God continuing in our day, I find great hope for our future, especially as we seek that inspiration in our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to understand God and the myriad of ways that He interacts with His children. This understanding is not just academic but is a lived understanding. I believe that we come to know God with our whole being--minds, hearts and bodies--as we exerecise faith with all three.
