Hi I'm Lanny Nebeker

I am working and going to school, I lettered in swimming and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my early 20's just about to get married to a beautiful woman. I Am working hard right now to get my associates degree so that we can move together to go to school so I can work on my Bachelors degree in business. I love to go outdoors and do physically exerting exercises, work, and play. I have hopes to become a financial adviser to support my future family and to help people with their retirement funds. I love to help and serve people which brings makes me very happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was brought up to be a good, strong, obedient person. My family are all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and I have been blessed to be born into and raised a member of the only true church on the earth. Thats a bold statement, "the only true church on the earth", but I know that it is true. There is no doubt in my mind that I know that God lives and that he loves me and all of his children. I know this because of faith and prayer, I gave place in my heart to believe and then I prayed and asked God whether he was there or not, I have had distinct impressions and feelings in my heart of goodness and joy that I know come from God. I have tested the commandments to see if the promised blessings would come and I have seen many wonderful things happen from paying tithing, keeping the law of chastity, the Word of Wisdom, and the 10 commandments. As I live worthy of Gods commandments I know that he will bless me with happiness, health, support, and others. I love being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I will always believe and know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith from day to day, I admit that it isn't always easy to keep the commandments when we are tempted by satin every minute of the day but It's always worth it. Every day I wake up and Pray to God about what I am doing with my day, I talk with him like I talk with my dad only a bit more formal like. After praying I read some scriptures to get me started for the day and to get me in the right mind set to go out into the world to go to work or school. throughout the day I constantly think of how I can do better and I pray to Heavenly father from time to time when I am in trouble or when I feel like I am being tempted to do the wrong thing, I also Thank God for when things go right and when I do good things. I don't drink Coffee or smoke, I don't swear or like to hurt people in any way physically or mentally. I don't drink alcohol, do drugs or have premarital sexual relationships. I am getting married very soon to a beautiful woman in a Temple of God. To be able to go in a Temple we have to be worthy, meaning that we are living worthy to the promises we make with God at baptism, that we will always remember Christ, that we will be willing take his name upon us, and keep his commandments. I go to church every Sunday to worship God, we take the sacrament and are taught by the spirit of God through our members who give talks in our sacrament meeting, we then have classes where we focus on the scriptures and then we separate into our Priesthood and Relief Society lessons where the men and women split up to learn the gospel as it applies to us individually as men and as women. We are taught as young men to serve missions for God to bring others to the knowledge of the Gospel. Its pretty selfish to be given something great and amazing as the gospel and not share it, I served in the England Leeds Mission for two years working from 10 in the morning to 9 at night. My faith grew tremendously in those two years. I love God and I love serving him and others.
