Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a Mormon. My parents are from Canada. I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love the Gospel.

About Me

I am a hair dresser; I have been doing hair for 36 years and have loved every minute of it. I am a mother of 4 children. I have 13 grand children and 2 on the way. I am an Certified Aroma therapist and have been helping people with health issues for the last 7 years. I love doing anything creative. Love the out doors. Our family loves to go camping so we can spend time with each other and not make a mess of anyone's house. My family is very important to me. Taking care of my health is very important to me, also. I have lost 2 of my older brothers, one to MS and one to Cancer. This has made me realize how important my health is and I have learned if we don't have our health we cannot do the things on this earth our Heavenly Father wants us to do. I am so grateful to know about the plan of salvation and know someday I will be with my loved ones. I love people, doing hair for so many years has given me the opportunity to have many close friends. They are like family to me. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel is the most important thing in my life. The Book of Mormon teaches me all things. Whenever I have a trial the gosple has taught me how to pray, to have faith in a Father in Heaven who loves me and is mindful of MY needs. It has taught me that my Savior died that I might have eternal life, if I will live worthy to return home to my Father In Heaven. I love President Thomas S. Monson; he is our Prophet today. The Church teaches us that family is important. The gosple is simple and it makes sense to me. That is why I am a Mormon. :-)

How I live my faith

I try to be Christ like in all I do and say. This is not always easy but if I will just ask myself how my Savior would act it helps me to choose the right. I teach the women on Sundays and it has been a blessing to me. I think teaching others has taught me more than I could ever teach them. The people in my church are very kind to one another and we all try to help each other when in need. We also try to fellowship those around us and try to include others in our church activities. We are taught that we are all children of God. One of my goals is to not judge others but to love them in spite for their sins. We should forgive others and let our Father in Heaven be the judge. I have a testimony of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am grateful to be a member of the Church and hope to share my testimony with others. We live in a time that our values are being tried. It makes me sad to see important thing like family, honesty, kindness, and every other good thing in life made to seem unimportant. I pray that we as a people will stand up for what is right, no matter how hard it may become. We all need to be kind to each other and serve one another. I love my Savior and hope that I can show this by the way I treat others.
