Hi I'm Eric Olsen

I grew up in The Raisin Capital of the World in rural Central California. I am an IT Business Professional and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy working around my house, playing with my grand kids and raising four silky chickens in my suburban backyard. I have a BS in Business and recently completed Masters in Information Management. I work from home on my entrepreneurial business and teach part-time at a local community college.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fourth generation Mormon from both parents, however, I choose to be a Mormon by my own free will. While raising kids and living through the challenges of providing for a family, paying the bills, seeing births, deaths, homework challenges, vacations, disappointments and achievements I know the core reasons why it is all worth it. I know why I am here on earth, where I am going and have a solid faith in a loving God who wants the best for me and my family. Through my own experience and application of faith I am certain that my beliefs are founded upon the Rock of Salvation.

How I live my faith

I am a Boy Scout leader of 11-year old boys which allows me the great opportunity to develop these young minds, exploring new things and expanding their abilities. Recently we took our boys out for a short day trip so they could cook breakfast over a camp stove. Days before the event, we helped them plan their own meal and list the equipment they needed. After they made their breakfast and cleaned up, we put life jackets on them so they could safely swim in the lake. Some boys had hardly seen a lake, let alone swim in one. The pancakes were not perfect but the smiles and laughter sure were. To see these young kids accomplish things they first thought were impossible is very gratifying.
