Hi I'm Tony

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My interests include earth science: rock hound & gardening; photography; playing with my granddaughters; community service; reading meridian of time history up to the start of the Dark Ages; bilding things with my hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a descendant of Mormon pioneers. I became inactive at age fifteen, gained a testimony at about age 26 after moving to Houston and meeting others of Mormon faith that my wife thought were nice people. I have studied other religions, deciding that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" has the restored authority to act in God's name that was established when Jesus was born in the Meridian of Time. I believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Joseph Smith was God's instrument in establishing His Church before Jesus comes to personally reign on earth.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have adopted four special needs children that have been a means of developing love, overcoming selfishness, and devoting our lives to service in the disability community. I am the Ward Web site coordinator and have three families that my Home Teaching companion and I visit every month. Two of our families have active sisters with inactive husbands; our third family are staunch church attenders with strong testimonies. Home Teaching is an integral and important service to our families that we are able to offer as Priesthood bearers. I enjoy being able to watch my families grow spiritually and that they help me grow socially and spiritually through this fundamental, yet wonderful program.
