Hi I'm Kim

I'm a goof ball! I love music! I love laughing! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I've performed in professional opera productions. I love people. I love reading and using my imagination. I'm constantly inspired by things and people I see and meet every day. I'm a student majoring in Health science and I want to be an Occupational Therapist. I have a minor in vocal performance. I love to travel and meet people from different cultures and experience new things. I love hiking and being outside. Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but the reason I'm a Mormon isn't because of my parents or anyone else. I've had many experiences throughout my life where I have struggled and hurt and the only way I was able to overcome those difficult times in my life was by turning to the Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. I've never doubted His love for me. His love truly is unconditional. I have come to know the Savior better as I have read the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know because I've read it and I've prayed about it and Heavenly Father has confirmed to me in my heart and mind, time and time again, that it is true. Because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I also know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. If we live righteously and make Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ our first priority they will bless us. I'm a Mormon because I have felt the spirit testify to me the truthfulness of the gospel and I cannot deny what He has made known to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to be a representative of Jesus Christ. I love Him and I love our Heavenly Father. I try to show my love for Them by serving others and trying my best to lift those around me. I'm currently serving an 18 month mission in the New York, New York South Spanish speaking mission. I love the gospel and I feel so honored and excited to serve and love the people in New York.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

In the church there are various organizations such as Relief Society, Young Men, Young Women, Elders Quorum, and Primary. Primary is for children who are between the ages of about 6 to 11. I have really wonderful memories of primary and one of my favorite memories is music time. There is a primary song called "I Know My Heavenly Father Loves Me." It is my favorite. Here are the words: Whenever I hear the song of a bird Or look at the blue, blue sky, Whenever I feel the rain on my face Or the wind as it rushes by, Whenever I touch a velvet rose Or walk by a lilac tree, I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me. He gave me my eyes that I might see The color of butterfly wings. He gave me my ears that I might hear The magical sound of things. He gave me my life, my mind, my heart: I thank him reverently For all his creations, of which I'm a part. Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me. I look at the world around me and I see God's hand in everything. The world is so beautiful. I also have the privilege of studying the human body in school. As I learn more and more about how our bodies look and work my testimony of God continues to grow. Our bodies are so intricate and so perfect in design that I realize there is no way that they could be so amazing unless someone had created them to be that way. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

As a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the reason I am here serving a mission at this time in my life is because I love Heavenly Father and I love Jesus Christ. I know all of us are God's children. He wants all of us to know of His love and know the things we need to know so that we can return to live with Him with our families forever. The gospel has blessed my life and my family so much. The gospel has brought so much peace and happiness to my life. My family has been so blessed as we have made covenants with Heavenly Father, lived our covenants, and kept His commandments. I know living the gospel brings the most happiness. I want to help other people find the joy and peace I have found through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
