Hi I'm Beth Ann

I grew up in Utah, served a mission in Alberta, Canada. I now live near Grande Prairie, Alberta. I'm a teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 children. I have 3 sons that have all served missions, and I have a beautiful daughter. I am a teacher and am getting ready to start my Masters of Education degree. I love to sing, play the piano, and read. I also like to garden, cook, go for walks, and I make jewelery. My greatest joy comes from my family. I love spending time with them and doing things together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without any doubt that this is Christ's true church on the earth. I grew up in a home that taught me about my Savior and His church. I later chose to serve a mission so that I could share with others the wonderful blessings the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my life. My testimony of this church came through my own efforts of prayer and study. I came to know for myself that my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ are real and that they know me personally. Once I knew that, I knew that the things I had been taught about the Book of Mormon, the prophet Joseph Smith, and latter-day prophets and apostles was also true. But I had to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, just like everyone else. My testimony of the truth of the Book of Mormon helps me to know that all else is true as well. I have a strong testimony of my Savior as my Redeemer and friend. I know that Christ walked on the earth and that he also suffered and died that I may have the blessings of forgivness and of the resurrection. He died on the cross, but he lives again and is the head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He speaks to modern day prophets and apostles so that we can know of His will and know how to return to our Heavenly home. This brings me such joy and peace; to know that there is a steady, true voice to follow that will lead me and my family to the greatest joy ever - the opportunity to enjoy eternal life together. I testify that this is true and hope you will feel the truthfulness of my words. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live in a community where there are very few other members of the church. I work hard to be an example of all that I know to be true. I strive to avoid anything that may send the wrong message to my co-workers or friends so that they may know that I truly am striving to be a follower of Jesus Christ. And while I am not perfect and make many mistakes, it is my hope that they will want to know Jesus Christ because they know me. I have had many opportunities to work with the youth of our church. I love the youth and have worked hard to be an example and friend to them. I hope that the things I have experienced can help them to be strong followers of Jesus Christ as well. I also work with the women of our ward and enjoy the wonderful associations I have with them. We work together to help support and encourage each other to be righteous daughters of God. We help each other to be strong and courageous mothers, faithful and supportive wives, and involved church members who can make a difference in our homes, our schools, and our communities. Being a Mormon is a way of life. It is my life. It is who I am. Even though we may be busy with work, school, sports or whatever it may be, there is always time to serve in the church and to serve in the community. I don't have to chose one or the other, it is all a part of who I am. Now that we are retired from teaching, my husband and I are serving a mission as senior missionaries. We have anticipated this day for a long time. It is a challenge to put our lives in order, pack up our home, and say goodbye to our children and grandchildren for two years as we go to serve our fellow brothers and sisters. But we know, without reservation, that our Father in Heaven is acutely aware of all our needs and desires and has blessed us with the faith to move forward. We have learned that our faith is stronger than our fears, and our love for our Savior is the strongest of all.
