Hi I'm Sandy

From my mother I learned to believe in and love God. I hope to also be a good influence on my own children, family and friends.

About Me

I am dedicated to my family and enjoy being with them when ever possible!! Sealed in the Washington D.C. temple, I have been married 27 years and have 5 children ages 17-25. I was baptized in 1981 in Sacramento. As a child I knew that God was real and I continue to turn to him for daily guidance and direction. Getting to know people, and remembering that, "the worth of every soul is great in the sight of God", is the best way to learn to love them. Christ like love is developed over a life time of daily effort through service, acceptance and forgiveness.

Why I am a Mormon

I first joined the church because I felt the spirit strongly in all of the meetings and all of the people were like loving, extended family members to me. Then I was happy to be a member because I raised 5 children with its teachings and married in the temple and was sealed to my family for eternity. I continue to be a Mormon because the teachings of its church appeal to my inner need to know that God loves me and is in control of this world. It is great to know that I lived and learned as a spirit with Heavenly Father before I came to live with my parents on earth. It is comforting to know that I am never really alone and that my Heavenly Father knows what I am experiencing and feeling and will always answer my prayers for help and guidance. I am confident knowing that at the end of a life well spent in establishing strong relationships, that this very family can be preserved forever and can continue to enjoy one another for eternity. I am thankful that my loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ have a perfect plan for me to gain happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is Latter Day Saint and the way I try to live it is that I start and end every day with a prayer. If someone has a problem and there is no obvious solution I will suggest praying about it. Answers to prayers come in various ways but they do come eventually. We need to pray for opportunities to talk to others about the Lord and what He means to us personally.
