Hi I'm Ryan.

I'm a pre-medical student. I'm a mountain man. I'm a thrill seeker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Ryan. Haha, I feel like I am a pretty average person who likes to have fun and be as happy as possible. I grew up in San Diego (Poway), CA and I loved it. I have a wonderful family who supports me and wants me to be the best I can be. I served a mission for the mormon church in Brazil and afterward came to Provo, UT to attend Brigham Young University. I am a premedical student so I spend a lot of my time getting ready for the MCAT and application processes. I work as an orderly in a hospital and I LOVE it. I love the medical field and I cannot wait to become a doctor one day. My favorite subject is definitely Anatomy/Physiology. Its so cool how the body works! When I am not working, I try to go camping, hiking, fishing, motorcycle riding etc. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors so I am constantly looking for a new canyon to climb or a new river to fish. Recently, I have started to mountain ride and cycle. Im actually saving up to buy a new road bike, and I cant wait to d my first triathalon. Thats me!

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon because I want to follow God. I want to be better. I want to do everything that I can to return to my Heavenly Father. In so doing, I am much happier. When I am following the commandments of God and focusing on his work, I am richly blessed. I become the true me, and I love it. :) I Chose to be a member of this incredible church because of the feelings given to me by the Holy Ghost. He made it impossible to deny the truth of this gospel. I am continually blessed because of the simple thing s that I do each day. By reading my scriptures, saying my prayers and following the prophets, I have a map to heaven. I don't feel alone and the questions of who I am and what I am doing here, are answered. During my mission in Brazil, I received the question, "Why are you doing this?" I responded then and now, because I have no doubt in my mind that this is the only true church on the face of this earth. That is why I am a Mormon. My testimony, or what i know to be true, is everything to me. It is who I am and what I want to become. I have imperfections, and I am aware of that. Its hard to be perfect, but with the help of my Savior, I know that one day I will be able to be perfect like Him and live with my family forever. The Book of Mormon is an inspired book from ancient times. I know that it was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith and that Heavenly Father protected and revealed the Book of Mormon in these times to help and guide me towards eternal life. I simply know that this church is true because I prayed, and God answered me.

How I live my faith

I participate in a number of things on a weekly, monthly ad yearly basis in the church. I have had the opportunity to serve in a number of positions in the church. I was able to serve a number of the men in an organized group. I was their leader and helped them become organized and comfortable. It was a very rewarding position that I loved. It was very challenging due to the many different personalities and interests that all the members have. I also have the opportunity to meet with a family each month teach them about the gospel. The family I meet with are members of the church who are great friends. I do all that I can to share my testimony with them and in return they help me with whatever I may need. When it comes down to it, I live my faith through example. I love being a part of this church because I can show others the light of Christ through my example and personality. I love the Lord and want to d my part to make his gospel better each and every day.
