Hi I'm Torin

Born & bred Aussie, like all good Aussies a Mum from Africa and a Dad from England. Joined at 18 & never looked back, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have a beautiful family with 5 kids. I work in IT and generally have a gadget within arms reach, usually for work though! I love movies and music. In my down time I like to play the guitar, well try to, hitting PSN, camping with the family or making models. I love to cook good food and share it with friends and family. I love to read, but not fiction, my book shelf is mainly textbooks and reference books.

Why I am a Mormon

Why? It is difficult to explain the journey that got me here, or the emotions I have experienced along the way. It's certainly no epic tale of overcoming calamity or disaster. I consider myself to be just a normal guy who has managed to find his way. I must admit I never considered Mormon's to be normal until I actually got to know one and what they are about! Why am I a Mormon? I have come to learn and appreciate that this is my Saviours Church. It didn't happen overnight and I certainly don't comprehend everything. I still have moments of doubt, but I have faith in my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the institute he has established here to proclaim his gospel. I have a testimony of my Saviours love and I know without a shadow of doubt that this is where I need to be to continue and honour His work and glory.

How I live my faith

I am privileged to teach the 12-14 years Sunday school class and love it. The youth are great to work with every Sunday even if the lesson gets off topic a bit sometimes! I try to practice as I preach as they say, and take the teachings of the gospel seriously in my life. Of all the responsibilities I have filled at Church each one has presented me a way to develop as an individual and hopefully assist those around me not only within the Church, but the greater community too.
