Hi I'm Natalie

I love to cook, sing, play, & laugh. I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, & only girl. I work as a tv news reporter. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from college and now work as a television news reporter. I grew up in small rural town and will always be a country girl at heart. I love spending time in the kitchen whipping up something delicious or outdoors playing in the sun. I spent a lot of time on stage performing as a teenager and I love a good inspiring piece of musical theater. A perfect weekend for me consists of good food, good conversation, and great company.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into a family that were active members in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, there came a time in my life where I had to decide what I truly believed for myself. I know that I am happiest when I am following the teachings of Jesus Christ. His gospel is one of peace and joy, even among the trials that we face on a daily basis. When I am not following His commandments my days are harder and I feel alone- not because He has abandoned me, but rather because I have stubbornly chosen to face the struggles without His daily help. Sometimes it can be very challenging when I don't have a logical explanation for why something happens or why I believe the things that I do, but that's the beautiful thing about faith: something of true value requires sacrifice.

How I live my faith

As a journalist, I don't often get the opportunity to verbally share my beliefs, but I do my best to share who I am through my actions. I try to reach out and serve someone around me every day, even if it's just sharing a smile. At church I play the piano and organ, using my musical talents to help people feel the Holy Ghost through the power of music. I also serve as a visiting teacher where I am called to share a gospel message with a few women in our congregation. Serving as a visiting teacher is very rewarding to me because I find that as I teach I am also learning valuable principals of the gospel.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

In both the old testament and new testament, God used prophets to lead and teach the people. I believe our church truly is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ as He organized it while he was on the earth. And because of that I believe that God would continue to speak to his children today- He does so through President Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less
