Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Michelle from Auburn. I'm a Wife, Mother and a disciple of Christ. I enjoy music in many different varieties. You will find it hard for me to sit still when a great song comes on; I just want to start dancing. In contrast there is great peace found in listening to uplifting music which causes the stirrings and thoughts of my soul that can not simply be uttered by words alone. I enjoy the beauty that God has created for each of us, His children. There is nothing like hiking a mountain and as you reach the top you glance around and marvel at His creations and the beauty that causes your heart to shout for joy. I find that in my life, success for me is found in the various ways that I can find peace within my heart. It is those quiet moments when you stand still and ponder on the greatness of God. I rejoice in working with Children and Youth. They teach me lessons by their example, their honesty, and humility. I enjoy the ability I have to interact with Youth and find it a goal to bring a smile to their faces and an understanding of their great worth whenever I can. My own three children have taught me of the great love and patience our Heavenly Father has for each of us. They have taught me how to extend myself, how to give unselfishly without expectation but simply doing something out of pure love. I have been blessed to be married to a dear Husband who I love and adore and rejoice that truly we are united for time and all Eternity along with our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember as a small child looking up at the sky and wondering to myself if God really knew me. How could I, one person be truly known by God. I remember turning to God in prayer, asking simply "do you know me and am I loved?" A child's plea was heard when I opened my scriptures and read "And the great and wonderful love made manifest by the Father and the Son in the coming of the Redeemer into the World” At that moment a warm feeling washed over me, it came powerfully that not only was I known and loved by God but also by Christ. They want me to come back to their presence. That experience has helped me throughout my life. In the loss of our infant daughter who passed away unexpectedly I once again drew upon the knowledge I gained as I child. Through it all I have known that Heavenly Father loves me, and that I am known and loved by Him the God over all the heavens and Earth. I have my faith and a profound sense of gratitude, because I know that everything has been taken care of by our Savior Jesus Christ. To often in life we forget that Christ came for us individually and that as He suffered the pains, the heartache and the sins that we each came into His view. I find great joy and happiness in living the fullness of the Gospel. I understand that Christ did not simply come to this Earth and then asked us to figure it out on our own. He came to provide the pathway home, and restored to the Earth once again are the same keys, rights, privileges, Temples, Prophets and binding Priesthood ordinances that allow us to truly be able to follow Him. Life is a gift, and the Gospel teaches me to look beyond myself and have found great joy in following our Savior's example. I know that Jesus is the Christ He is my Redeemer and my God. It is because of Him that I am able be united eternally with those I love most, my family. My life does have a purpose, my life has meaning and direction and it comes from the understanding that each of us is a Child of God.

How I live my faith

I try my best to do what I can to help others feel the joy of Christ in their lives by living the Gospel. Through out my life I have been given the opportunity to work with youth. I see in them the future, I see in them the opportunity to help them find the greatness that is contained in each of them and often they have not quite seen in themselves yet. To watch youth have moments in which the Spirit testifies to them about Gospel truths brings me great joy. Through my ability to serve I have watched youth serve missions, marry in the Temple for time and all eternity. I have seen youth soften their heart towards families, and go on to do great things in their homes, schools and community. I have had opportunities to serve in the community, make blankets for hospitals, I have gone to comfort those in need and to try things that I never thought I would do because in living the Gospel I chose to serve as best I can. All that I do is because of my Faith in God and His Gospel. I made promises to Him and to take upon myself the name of Christ and to do what He would do and help those He would help. Often in life I have realized that my prayers are answered by others who were willing to listen to the promptings of the Spirit. I try to do the same, and hope that in some small way lives are blessed by each of us associating with each other. I have found in life that my faith helps me look beyond myself to see what I could do to help others. At times I may not do as well as I hoped, but I continue to try knowing that all that I have and everything I ever hope to be is because of our Savior, our Heavenly Father and my willingness to follow them. I love the words to a Hymn “I’ll go where you want me to go dear Lord over mountain or plains or sea. I'll say what you want me to say dear Lord, I'll be what you want me to be” That is my banner of truth, my clarion call. “Lord here am I send me.” This is my heartfelt plea and desire of my heart to help those around me.
