Hi I'm Dave

I've lived in and been to various parts of the world. I work in law enforcement. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed with a great family. I enjoy camping, bicycling, and kayaking.

Why I am a Mormon

There is peace in having faith in Christ, His atonement, and His Church. Despite a turbulent world filled with uncertainty, our Savior provides feelings of love, peace, and joy. I deal with many who are filled with fear and anger in their lives. These interactions strengthen my feelings of gratitude for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have felt the truth of the gospel through prayer, study, and experience. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Savior's church. It is true. I know it.

How I live my faith

My employment does not allow me to share the Gospel at work. However, I hope to live in a way that shows others the joy I have found in His truth. I am blessed to work with the Young Men of the Church. This gives me the opportunity to be strengthened through their examples of faith and good works. It is amazing to see their unity.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

When we lost our daughter in a vehicle accident, I was strengthened by my testimony about the eternal nature of families. Death does not cause a permanent separation from our loved ones. We are able to be with our loved ones again. While we mourn our loss because of our temporary separation, we rejoice in the knowledge that we will be reunited again. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

My dear wife and I have 5 children. We try to work together in providing opportunities for our children to grow in faith and learning. While we are generally unified in these goals, sometimes we have to work through differences. We seek to be equal and take up where the other needs help. While there can be many difficulties in raising children and building a healthy relationship, the Gospel of Christ provides the framework for success in our roles as mother and father and wife and husband.
